Assessment Visits
Can’t decide if you want a network or if your network needs upgrading? We will visit your company and tell you exactly what you need and show you how cost-effective it will be.
Here are some checks to make to see if you are operating near full efficiency!
- Using Dial-up Internet?
A lot of people still use regular phone lines to dial up to the internet. If you have a small establishment and only use it to pull down small emails and surf simple websites, this shouldn't pose a big problem.
Did You Know?
- You could have more than one computer access the internet through a single dial-up connection?
- ADSL (High-Speed Internet) is widely available and greatly enhances your online experience, and may be in some cases more cost effective than using a dial-up technology
- Even with fast internet speeds, surfing may appear slow because the computer is not powerful enough to process the information as fast as it is downloaded.
- Out Dated Equipment/Computer Crashing?
Preserving and caring for old equipment is very commendable. However, although the computer itself may be in good working order, the increasing demand for speed and memory by modern programs and software applications may require you to upgrade or even change the entire system.
Did You Know?
- Processor and Memory intensive software like AutoCAD and graphics software require Pentium class CPU's and at least 512 MB RAM to run properly.
- Crashing and Hanging up may be caused by faulty hardware, but is usually the result of an outdated operating system (Windows 95,98 etc) or not enough memory or speed!
- If you can't replace or upgrade, cleaning and optimizing your current resources can also provide a boost in performance.
