Our Team

Our Team Tropical Computers Ltd has a staff complement of eleven (11) persons, inclusive of a management team consisting of three(3) persons, who are responsible for the main divisions of the organization – Sales & Marketing , IT Services and Customer and Administrative Support. TECHNICAL TEAM Mark Codrington (MCP) - I.T. Manager (mcondrington@tropicalcomputers.com) Mark is the IT Manager of Tropical Computers and is responsible for a team of 5 Technicians. Mark’s strength is all-round. At one time in the company’s history he has been a Sales Representative, a Technician, a Purchasing Officer; he even used to answer the phone and resolve customer queries! With this background and with over 10 years at Tropical, he has played a pivotal part in all major decisions over the years.. As one of the company’s first employee,. Mark has been committed from its inception to the growth of its technical division, moving it from just a mere PC repair company, to its present full-service IT department. Mark is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and has wide technical knowledge and experience in client-server environments, with special emphasis on security (antivirus and firewall) software products and their applications. Keith Thornhill - Senior Technician (kthornhill@tropicalcomputers.com) Keith is the Senior Technician and assists the IT Manager in supervising our technical team. Keith brings a wealth of technical knowledge to our team, having worked in the field for over 10 years. Keith’s all-round ability allows him to provide support to our customers and properly advise of their IT requirements . From simple PC repair jobs to enterprise-wide network support, Keith can solve your IT needs. Jermaine Trotman (A+ Certified, MCP) - Technician (jtrotman@tropicalcomputers.com) Jermaine is a very knowledgeable member of our technical team and specializes in the area of printer repairs.. This avid sports enthusiast is A+ certified and is presently pursuing further training in the repair and maintenance of HP laser printers. This tech is extremely customer friendly and always seeks to keep the customer firmly involved whenever he is troubleshooting problems. Jermaine is working towards his MCP qualification. Derek Williams - Junior Technician (dwilliams@tropicalcomputers.com) Derek is a young and enthusiastic technician who provides in-house support for our many customers. Derek is very helpful and strives to ensure that our computer systems are readily available for delivery to our customers. Derek is currently pursuing studies in A+ certification. ADMINISTRATIVE & SUPPORT TEAM Allison Wilkinson - General Manager (Email: awilkinson@tropicalcomputers.com) Allison Wilkinson is the General Manager of Tropical Computers Limited with special responsibility for the Sales and Marketing of our products and services. Allison brings a wealth of knowledge in the marketing and administration of IT support services. She is responsible for the overall management of the company in conjunction with the Office Manager and is committed to ensuring that the company fulfills its mandate as a total IT Solutions Provider. Sheena Brereton - Office Manager (Email: sheena@tropicalcomputers.com) The heart and soul of Tropical Computers, she is one of the voices that answers the phone and her friendly face appears on all of our ads. She is Sheena Brereton our Office Manager and , as an integral part of the management team, she is in charge of all aspects of the office operations at Tropical Computers. Sheena has been with Tropical Computers for over 10 years and her knowledge of the company’s operations is second to none. Her professionalism in ensuring that we maintain a consistently high level of customer service is legendary. Customers frequently comment on the excellent customer care they receive when they visit us at our Fontabelle office. Claire Barrow - Office Supervisor - Administration and Sales (Email: claire@tropicalcomputers.com) Claire Barrow is an integral part of the Tropical team. Claire works with Sheena to answer all customer queries and prepares all quotation requests. Claire’s strengths are her IT skills; at one time she was planning to become an IT Technician so she uses her interest in that area to resolve all customer queries and advise customers using her technical product knowledge. She is quiet, assured and extremely knowledgable CONSULTANTS Cariboss - Networking Consultant Cariboss Ltd. is a leader in structured cabling systems and provides integrated end-to-end connectivity solutions for voice, data, video and building management applications in both wired and wireless enterprise networks in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. Cariboss is a Siemon Cabling Systems Business Partner for the delivery of copper and fibre optic. The combined network teams of Tropical Computers and Cariboss work to to ensure consistent performance for installed cables across all your locations. Mahesh Mathani - I.T. Consultant Mahesh Mathani has been Tropical Computers' premier Consultant for the past 8 years. Mahesh is a solid rock of IT knowledge and we constantly tap his resources. It seems that he has encountered every computer-related problem that has ever existed or is known to man. Mahesh has a BSc in Electronic Engineering Technology from Trenton State University and was the former Managing Director of The Computer Store. He counts among his many credits being the first person to set up a Novell Network in Barbados.
