Return & Cancellation Policy
At Tropical Computers Ltd. (“TCL”), we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines how returns, refunds, cancellations, and warranties are handled. For full legal terms, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
1. Return Periods
Non‑defective merchandise must be returned within seven (7) days of purchase or delivery.
Defective merchandise must be returned within the applicable warranty period as stated on your invoice and will be subject to TCL’s RMA testing process prior to replacement or repair.
Products not returned within the applicable period will be deemed accepted.
2. Restocking Fees
- Standard items (non‑defective): A restocking fee of 15% or BBD $30, whichever is greater, applies.
- Special order items (customized equipment or non‑stocked parts): A restocking fee of 90% or BBD $150, whichever is greater, applies.
- Opened sealed items such as software, ink cartridges, toners, recordable media, and storage media are non‑returnable, except for hard drives.
3. Return Requirements
To be eligible for a return:
- The original invoice must be provided.
- The item must include its original packaging and all accessories from the first purchase.
- The item must be in resellable condition. TCL reserves the right to inspect, pro‑rate based on usage or packaging condition, or reject the return where requirements are not met.
4. Refunds and Store Credit
- Refunds for approved returns will be processed within three (3) business days after acceptance and are subject to applicable restocking charges.
- Customers may opt for Store Credit equal to the full refund amount, valid for ninety (90) days.
- Sale items are not eligible for cash refunds and will only qualify for Store Credit.
5. Warranty Coverage
- Warranty periods range from ninety (90) days to five (5) years, depending on the product and as specified on your invoice. TCL may repair or replace items at its discretion. In some cases, warranty coverage may follow the manufacturer’s reseller warranty.
- No warranty is provided on consumables such as ink, toner, drums, media, or batteries, unless otherwise stated on a TCL Sales Order/Invoice.
- TCL reserves the right to void warranties where defects result from physical damage, misuse, faulty/incorrect supplies, tampering, or environmental issues (e.g., electrical faults, lightning, flooding).
6. Repair Warranty
- Parts & Labour repairs: 30‑day warranty.
- Labour‑only repairs: 30‑day warranty.
- Parts used in repairs (new or refurbished): 90‑day warranty unless otherwise specified.
7. Order Cancellations and Store Pickup
- Customers must present a valid ID and order number to collect purchases. If collected by another party, TCL must be notified in advance via retailsales@tropicalcomputers.com or WhatsApp (246) 430‑0306. The person collecting must present ID and the order number.
- Orders must be collected within one (1) business week. Uncollected orders will be refunded with a 90% cancellation fee.
